The Sceniced & Undecided Ry is a 500 square foot N Scale layout representing the Pacific Northwest and Western Canada. Operations consist of BN, CP RAIL, CN, and BC Rail unit trains, plus AMTRAK and VIA passenger trains, running during the 1980's time period or GN, CP, and S&U steam running during the 1940's.
Spectacular scenery and animation are the hallmarks of the S&U, where operating cranes, coal mines, rotary car-dumpers, factory assembly lines and fireworks are part of the many animated devices that can be seen along harbors, towns, cities, rivers and mountainous terrain. Digitrax DCC and conventional throttles control trains as they run through numerous tunnels and more than two dozen bridges and trestles.
The layout is 90% sceniced and has been featured in Great Model Railroads 1999, MR - May, 1980, N Scale Railroading - May/June, 2002, and the Kalmbach Layout Video Tour #4. Featured in books: Realistic Animation, Lighting and Sound and Introduction to North American N Scale.
