Ted Fort – PRR: Paoli Local (HO)

 PHILADELPHIA DIVISION MEMBER

As is common among modelers Ted models an area of his past to preserve memories growing up. In his case, it’s the PRR 4-track main line from Narberth to Paoli, PA on July 17th 1944–a frozen moment in time depicting how life would have looked back then. (He also has a small mini-museum with items of the time to help understand what people were thinking.) Layout is a 20 x20 foot square, shelf, 3 to 4-foot wide. Control is DC.

Included are troop trains, military consists, passenger and MP54 Paoli Local commuter trains. The half tracks being loaded are from the Autocar company. Other features include an impressive, scratch built representation of the 1880 Ardmore Station which no longer exists as it appeared back then, as well as Paoli Tower.

  1. Beautiful work Ted. Not only accurate but excellent model building. I’d love an opportunity to see it live if possible. Congratulations on a first class railroad. Bob
