The library doors open at 10:00AM. The meet will start as soon as equipment is set up. Check in and raffle sales will continue during the break following the Business Meeting.
1. Annual Business Meeting – Division Reports and Election Results
2. Clinician Ramon Rhodes presenting on “The Santa Fe Railway in Chicago during the 1970s.” In this fast-paced presentation we will take a look at the changes that occurred on the Santa Fe Railway in Chicago during the 1970s. Using hundreds of photographs and a series of charts, graphs, and diagrams, we will see the changes that shaped the railroad during that decade–changes that include the consolidation of facilities and the spinning off of passenger service to Amtrak.
3. NMRA’s Video Introduction to the hobby.
4. Bill Fagan videos if time permits.
5. Layouts 1:30-4:30PM
NOTE: The library does not open its doors until 10am. At that time, we will setup our equipment as quickly as possible and then begin. After the Division reports and other business, we will recess for a break while votes are counted. All ballots brought to the meeting must be submitted by 10:30am. The business meeting will resume after Ramon’s clinic with the election results, followed by any unfinished business. After the second break, we’ll have video presentations, the raffle, and the door prizes.
PARKING: There should be enough parking in the lot in the front and back of the building. If there isn’t, you can parallel park on the right side of the driveway leading around to the back of the building…or on the opposite side of the side street, Ellis Ave., on the grass between the street and the trail (park perpendicular). Below is the Google Maps satellite view of the facility.
50/50 raffle, door prizes, model display table, white elephant table, coffee, donuts, and Philly pretzels. Open house layout tours are expected to be the afternoon fare. Come and enjoy the camaraderie. Hope to see you there!
