2015 Ohio Mini Convention
Join us for a day of fellowship and renewed friendships all with a healthy exchange of information on the side. As always, the Baltimore and Ohio Railroad Historical Society Company Store will also be available at the MiniCon.
When: Saturday, May 16, 2015
Where: Black River Landing, 421 Black River Lane, Lorain, OH 44052. The site is located on what
used to be the Baltimore and Ohio right-of-way in downtown Lorain, a little south of the coal
loading docks.
Agenda:
8:00 a.m. Doors open
9:00 a.m. Presentation begin
We have a variety of presentations scheduled that include the following: The Lake
Branch Line; the Cleveland, Lorain and Wheeling Railroad; a round table discussion
with retired and current employees of the Baltimore and Ohio Railroad into CSX; and
more.
5:00 p.m. Mini Convention Closes
Registration:
Admission cost for Pre-registration is $15.00.
Admission the day of the Mini-Con is $18.00.
This is the first time that the MiniCon is being held in Lorain, OH. The Black River Landing is a newly constructed facility by the Lorain Port Authority and is located on the historic ground of the B&O Railroad.. We are expecting a large turnout for this event. To insure your spot at the Mini Con we strongly encourage you to pre-register.
Lunch:
There are a number of restaurants and fast food facilities in the general area. A “dining” map will be available the day of the MiniCon.
Snacks:
Coffee, tea, water and pastry are available on site for a reasonable cost.
Miscellaneous:
Several tables will be available for display of your favorite models and memorabilia. Please note that items displayed are done so at your own risk and the B&ORHS cannot be held responsible for damage or losses that may occur. Neither the B&ORHS nor Lorain Port Authority will be held responsible for any personal injuries that may occur traveling to, during, and/or returning from the mini Con.
